Left in 2006 to France (that is to say before its
exit nippone in 2007), Have ga Kikoeru is the album of maturity for
Kokia. This complete artist writes his texts and composes his
musics, which it interprets of a splendid voice. Discovered in
France thanks to the full-length film of animation "Origin" of which
it signed the songs.
One starts very extremely with a ballade angelica
carried by choruses and even of the sounds of bells to the opening,
for a "Someday when you coils someone" near to the religious anthem
has capella. One is thus immediately immersed in the universe
impresses softness of the artist.
The second song is accompanied by some cords (acoustic guitar
and toothing-stone) to which are added a piano and discrete
percussions, and one discovers the width of vocal of Kokia which
offers to us here a voice hotter and air than in the first song.
Then "Hope of year ugly ducklin'" is a more pop piece acidulous
which comes to give another form of lightness to the album. "The
Story of two daughters" continuous on a note plus melancholic person
who is not without pointing out a Celtic ballade. It is with the
piano, instrument of predilection of Kokia that this opus with the
very pretty "Awakening - Open your eyes continues".
If "Cocoro" joins again a little with the soft environment of
"Someday when you coils someone", "HUMANITARIAN" is energy and one
even surprises oneself to dandle oneself above. The album takes
again a quieter tonality with final calms and three songs in
particular which communicate the message of peace and love that Kokia
wants to attach to its music: "why C I sing?", "Remember
the kiss" that one finds of exclusiveness in his English version on
the French version in the album, and ultimate "the Music, like has
prayer", certainly a little more pop but who carries the same message
and which makes music of Kokia a new form of filled up religion of
love.
Level packaging, the album is presented in a pretty case
digipack kind. However the poster announced on the
small pocket is not present, but side booklet the things are well
made: the original booklet is transcribed in romaji to be able
to sing even if Japanese is not read. It is which more is
accompanied by a booklet of translation which gives the versions
English and French songs. A so good initiative that one can
close well the eyes on the few English and French faults who balladent
themselves there... (but it is necessary well to haggle, it is what
pushes the editors to be improved, not?)
In short a good album very releasing, without false notes, which
we have the chance to be able to discover in French version (and thus
more accessible). Then why to deprive itself some?
